Hello, I am me. Have we met?

“This has been reality…

A woman in her late thirties tries to:

  1. Take good care of 2 kids whose needs always seem to evolve right as she gains a grasp of the current situation.
  2. Run the non-stop “plan/shop/cook reasonable healthy food” factory.
  3. Clean, do laundry, plan activities and summer camps, vacation and outings for 4 people.
  4. Handle the endless flow of birthday parties, sports activities, school-stuff, recitals and playdates with a smile (the basic qualifications for a “good mom”…)
  5. Stop wondering why everyone else seems so insanely happy, well traveled and successful on Instagram.
  6. Not use food and desserts as a comfort when stressed, lonely or sad.
  7. Not beat herself up after eating too much.

This, however, is the person I’m getting to know in my Balans program…

A woman in her late thirties who:

  1. Is very ambitious and smart.
  2. Is no longer afraid.
  3. Has a killer sense of humor.
  4. Doesn’t really have an issue with food. She just got stuck with some crappy habits she needed help to break free from. (Thank You Maura)
  5. Almost dated Leo DiCaprio and Alexander Skarsgard (at the same time).

The best part is, I think she’s totally brilliant.”
